Asano Yasuhito
Asano Yasuhito, Shihan (Master Instructor)
Asano Sensei is the founder of the Japanese Budo Association.
Tradition in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu
Asano Sensei holds Menkyo-Kaiden (Full Licence) in both Yamauchi-Ha (22nd generation) and Ota-Ha (21st generation) styles of Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu.
Tradition in Shinkage Ryu
Asano also holds Menkyo-Kaiden in Owari Yagyu clan style of Shinkage Ryu (who were the military instructors to the Tokugawa Shogunate) under his master Watanabe Tadanari (22nd generation).

Roy Bradford, Chief Instructor and founder of the Kenshinkan Dojo
Roy has been training in martial arts for over 40 years around the UK, Europe and in Japan. Founding the Kenshinkan Dojo in 2005 upon his move to the East Coast of the UK the club is now in its 20th year of operation.
Tradition in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu
Roy was awarded 3rd dan certification by the JBA in 2021, he also holds 1st dan certification in Iwata-Ha style in 2006 from his previous association, the Roshukai, under Sensei Brian Morrison.
Tradition in Shinkage Ryu
Roy is currently training directly under Asano Sensei to complete a teaching rank in Shinkage Ryu.
Tradition in Ryoi Shinto Ryu Ju-Jutsu
Roy recently received dan grade certification under Shihan Peter King in Ryoi Shinto Ryu Jujutsu (1st).

Ethan Webster

Ethan has been training in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu exclusively under Roy Sensei since 2019.

Ethan was awarded his 1st dan certification by the JBA in Oct 2023.

Dan began training in martial arts between 2001-2006 after a work induced break, returned to martial arts in 2020.
Tradition in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu
Initially training in Shimabukuro-Ha style Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu, Dan now studies exclusively under Roy Sensei and was awarded his 1st dan certification by the JBA in Oct 2023.
Tradition in Shinkage Ryu
Dan is currently training directly under Asano Sensei to complete a teaching rank in Shinkage Ryu.

Chris Prettyman
Chris Prettyman, co-founder Kenshinkan Dojo (Retired)
Chris trained with Roy Sensei between 2005 and 2024. An original member of the Kenshinkan Dojo although reluctant to grade he was awarded his 1st dan certification by the JBA in 2021.
Chris has been the driving force behind the club both administratively and financially over the last 20 years. On his retirement from the active training roster, the club recognised his support and dedication with lifetime membership and appointment as non-executive director of the club.

Andrew Klausner
Andrew Klausner, co-founder Kenshinkan Dojo (Retired)
Andrew trained with Roy Sensei between 2000 and 2015 reaching 3rd Dan with the Roshukai under Sensei Brian Morrison. He helped Roy create and shape the philosophy and ethics of the Kenshinkan dojo and on his retirement from the active training roster the club recognised him with lifetime membership.
